Burger Bakar Abg Burn Jajahan ke 5 Kota Damansara

We have been waiting to eat this grilled burger for a very long time and now is the time. When it was first been introduced to the market 2 3 years back, we had to wait 2 3 hours because the line was too long. It was a hit back then and received huge coverage in the mass media. It has been a while now and quite a number of branches and brand have been invading the mainstream market. As a result, no more long queue. So it is easy now than last time. Seriously, you have to dine-in in order to taste the best of it.  Take away is OK but the lacking part will be the taste. We believe it is better to enjoy the burger while it is still fresh and hot. Here are some of the moments from Burger Bakar Abg Burn Kota Damansara...

Dong Yi Shun, Kelana Jaya: Chinese Muslim Food

If you guys are looking for the authentic chinese muslim food in KL, you may try this restaurant. Located in Dataran Glomac, Kelana Jaya, this restaurant offers awesome chinese cuisine. Personally, when I was there, the dining experience, the food, the taste and the surrounding reminds me a lot of my time when I was in China for several  time long time ago. The price is more or less the same like any other chinese muslim restaurants in KL. The service is also good. Our favorite here is zi ran lamb and it is highly recommended. The taste is super delicious! Of course we ordered the lamb dish along with fried squid with salted egg, crispy chicken, tofu with broccoli, rice and the chinese tea for lunch just now. It was amazing! No words can describe the moment as the food was extremely fantastic. It is a must try restaurant for chinese food lover. For the first timer, you must order the recommended food in the menu, just ask the waitress. I would say it will be a different dining experience for everyone.

Vicchuda Damansara Utama all time favorite

From LDP you will not miss this place
I could not remember when was the last time I stopped here but it is still the all time favorite among the locals. From a small stall back in 1994 (during my uni years) to restaurants. Currently, it has branches around Klang Valley yet Vicchuda has never been a disappointment. We decided to have our dinner at the restaurant last Friday. We ordered nasi goreng kerabu, nasi goreng daging merah, fried kailan, fried egg, fried shrimp with ginger, and of course the sambal belacan. As for drinks, I ordered lai chi kang, ice lychee and ice barli. The service was super fast, we did not have to wait long for our dinner. The taste was still the same, very tasty indeed and the price was as expected. It reminded me of the good old days, eating great food with great buddies and families. The restaurant is located at Damansara Utama, next to LDP (Damansara Puchong Highway).

Best of Phuket 2: family trip

It was Mac 2010. The trip was my 2nd trip to Phuket but this time with my family. Phuket is a great destination for a family vacation. My first experience to Phuket gave an added advantage for me to prepare for this family trip. Everything was easily set right from the beginning, from hotel, places to visit, to shop, sightseeing, transportation to eating places. Unfortunately, we did not go for the island tour as my 3rd girl was still small back then. We just covered Patong area and Phuket town.

It was a great family trip and they did enjoy very much. My wife really enjoyed the spa treatment and my daughters, for sure, the local dish, tomyam. Everything is manageable in Phuket. Just ask the locals, travel agents or the hotel receptions surely they will assist you. I would recommend the island tour to all especially the snorkeling activity and stop over at Phi Phi Island (to name one), very suitable to children 7-year & above, why? because they can appreciate and enjoy the activity to the max. Hope that one day I can bring back my daughters to Phuket to experience the island tour. Here are some snaps to share...

We have been here several times and this place has been one of my family's favorite. Recently, just recently, d cengkih has been featured in Jalan Jalan Cari Makan TV3. The best of Malay traditional food and kueh are available here. Everyone must try. The place is very relaxing, the interior set up is superb and definitely the food is great. Live music performance and songs are on every weekend by the otais. 2 thumbs up! Here are some of the moment, lunch date with my other half...

Best of Phuket 1: yesterday once more with a friend

A trip with my good buddy back in January 2010 and it was my first trip to this superb island. To beach lovers, it is a must destination in your list. Places to stay is not a problem in Phuket as there are thousands of choices for you to choose from. From budget stay to a 5 stars luxurious beach villa. It is just a click or phone call away from your dream vacation. For us, we just searched and emailed. We wanted our vacation this time like backpackers style.

Once settled with the place to stay now we move on to the mouth watering part: the food! The food is superlicious! if you guys enjoy Thai food, you will love it together with its fresh seafood. I was told that Phuket people love hot and spicy food, they love chillies a lot in their food but no worries, you just need to inform the waiter if you want your food to be less spicy or extra spicy. For Muslim explorers, there are many halal restaurants around Phuket especially the mosque area. Quite a number of good Thai Muslim Restaurants here. One by the name Kesuma Seafood even serves Teh Tarik. Nice one! and not to forget the Arabs, the Pakistanis also have restaurants here in Phuket. If you are lost, then you should ask the taxi or tuk tuk drivers to bring you to halal restaurants. You will be extremely lucky if you can get Muslim drivers, surely they will assist.

The islands around Phuket are extremely gorgeous. A trip to Phuket is not complete if you don't visit the islands, its crystal clear water and beautiful beaches. To name a few, Phi Phi Island is where The Beach was filmed starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Bond Island, surely the location for one of James Bond movies. Another thing that I want to promote is snorkeling is a must and to scuba divers, this is another great destination to explore.

Night life is another aspect of what makes people from all around the world come to Phuket. Bangra Road has its own unique attraction, bars, massage parlors and street bazaars are all over Patong area and Phuket town. What you need to do is just ask for any tuk tuk drivers to bring you anywhere you want. Don't forget to ask for discount. Lesser is better. Why tuk tuk?? because it is the best way to explore Phuket! another thing, like any other places, you can also rent cars, jeeps, motorcycles and bicycles. Happy exploring!
