Mukha TTDI

Description about Mukha is more or less the same in every blog. About its background, Mukha takes its inspiration from a place in Yemen which was a meeting place for coffee traders in the 15th century. Besides coffee, Mukha also offers Middle Eastern style food and, of course, shisha. The cafe has a retro-industrial feel, featuring antiques, plain brick, recycled wood planks and old furniture, which give the place a contemporary, laid-back vibe. There’s also a choice of indoor or alfresco seating.

Signature dishes include Steak Sandwich, Chicken Kebab, Gulf Rice ( a kind of briyani) and Beef Bamia (spiced beef with okra), while their specialty drinks are Shahi (Arab mint tea) and Gahwa, their house blend coffee. Location: 15, Lorong Rahim Kajai 13, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. In the same vicinity with Kaffe Cafe and Kulcats Barrio.

I was there for lunch. I ordered salmon sandwich and hazelnut latte while my other half ordered just green tea latte. Latte was excellent yet another favorite choice if I am on my coffee quest next time. The sandwich was awesome, full with salmon and surely you can feel the salmon in every bite. It comes with salads, cherry tomatoes, lemons and the tasteful mustard as side dishes. The pastry counter is just next to the main dining hall where selection of cakes, muffins and other desserts, sweet stuffs are on display. We shall try it next time. Personally, another great place to be in my list.

Kaffe Cafe Lorong Rahim Kajai, TTDI

We were on our coffee quest and we found this. A tough fight for Kaffe Cafe as it is located near to Mukha, Artisan Coffee and Kulcats Barrio. We just ordered caramel latte, ice hazelnut latte and the chicken pie. Overall for the 3, great taste of the pie and superb coffee. I am not sure about the rest on the menu. Not so many people when we were there but I assumed it will be packed during the weekdays. It will be not-so-bad alternative place if the other cafes are packed with people. The deco is good and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
Location:
Kaffe Cafe  23, Lorong Rahim Kajai 13,
Taman Tun Dr. Ismail,
60000 Kuala Lumpur

Upstairs Cafe Subang

Another cool place to hang out. It is on top of Cafe Bawang Merah and the cafe is just next to Sime Darby Medical Subang. If you see the Sime Darby Medical Centre, you're heading in the right direction. Just head to the row of shops you see on the right side. The address is: 1st Floor, 12A, Jalan SS12/1B, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor. The food looks and tastes good and the place is so relaxing. A perfect place to meet up with people and quite suitable to be a dating place. Even though the place is pack with people but still, it is still calm and very relaxing. Those who loves dessert, cakes, muffins, cupcakes and coffee, I recommend this place.

My Mom's Chicken Rice & Zainul Nasi Kandar Penang PJ Oldtown

My Mom's Chicken Rice - Personally, I prefer this place for its chicken rice and mee rebus. One of the best in KL. Location: Lot 84, Ground Floor, Lorong Memanda 1, Ampang Point, Ampang. Check out also other branches in Klang Valley.

Zainul Nasi Kandar Penang - Located in PJ Oldtown and very famous among the people in PJ. If you are looking for a great true spicy taste of Penang nasi kandar, you have to get yourself to this place. The place is in the foodcourt area, sharing the same road with Shah's Village Hotel. If A&W is at the other end of the road, the place is located at the opposite end. It is a one way road and you will surely meet this place first before you see the club house, Shah's Village Hotel and A&W. Exact Location: Food Court, Lorong Sultan, Seksyen 52, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
