Description about Mukha is more or less the same in every blog. About its background, Mukha takes its inspiration from a place in Yemen which was a meeting
place for coffee traders in the 15th century. Besides coffee, Mukha also
offers Middle Eastern style food and, of course, shisha.
The cafe has a retro-industrial feel, featuring antiques, plain brick, recycled
wood planks and old furniture, which give the place a contemporary,
laid-back vibe. There’s also a choice of indoor or alfresco seating.
Signature dishes include Steak Sandwich, Chicken Kebab, Gulf Rice ( a
kind of briyani) and Beef Bamia (spiced beef with okra), while their
specialty drinks are Shahi (Arab mint tea) and Gahwa, their house blend
coffee.
Location: 15, Lorong Rahim Kajai 13, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. In the same vicinity with Kaffe Cafe and Kulcats Barrio.
I was there for lunch. I ordered salmon sandwich and hazelnut latte while my other half ordered just green tea latte. Latte was excellent yet another favorite choice if I am on my coffee quest next time. The sandwich was awesome, full with salmon and surely you can feel the salmon in every bite. It comes with salads, cherry tomatoes, lemons and the tasteful mustard as side dishes. The pastry counter is just next to the main dining hall where selection of cakes, muffins and other desserts, sweet stuffs are on display. We shall try it next time. Personally, another great place to be in my list.
